Series brings Dorothy Fuldheim program to JCC

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is kicking off its summer J. Newman Levy Speaker series with a program about journalist Dorothy Fuldheim. Fuldheim will be portrayed by living history performer Anne McEvoy from Women in History. Fuldheim was a Jewish American news journalist and television broadcaster who is credited with being the first woman in the United States to anchor a television news broadcast as well as to host her own television show. County singer-songwriter Niko Moon brings his Back to My Roots tour to the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre for a Sept. 11 concert. The Texas-born Moon had a number-one single on country radio in 2020 with “Good Time,” and other tracks popular on streaming services include “No Sad Songs” and “Paradise to Me.” Moon first found success as a songwriter for others, and his work has been recorded by the Zac Brown Band, Morgan Wallen, Rascal Flatts and others. Youngstown Playhouse sets season

Eight shows in three different venues will make up Youngstown Playhouse’s 2026-27 season, and a Broadway veteran will choreograph the season-opening show.
