Leonardi Legacy Concert planned

Tickets are on sale now for the Tony Leonardi Alumni Reunion Tribute Concert on July 18 at Youngstown State University’s Ford Theater.

Leonardi, who died in 2001 at age 62, was the founder of YSU’s jazz studies program at Dana School of Music. Nearly 40 YSU alumni are scheduled to perform, including acclaimed trumpeter Sean Jones, Grammy-nominated pianist and composer James Weidman and composer, bandleader and educator Dave Rivello.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $33 for adults and $17.25 for students and are available online at ysu.tix.com
