Reader series features authors from Dayton
Dayton novelists Meredith Doench and Erin Flanagan will be the featured authors at Lit Youngstown’s next First Wednesday Reader Series event.

She’s also a board member of Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter and a principal lecturer of creative writing and literature at the University of Dayton.
Flanagan is the author of five books, including “Deer Season,” winner of the 2022 Edgar for best first novel. Her latest novel is “Come with Me.” She’s held fellowships at The Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers’ Conferences, Yaddo and The MacDowell Colony, and she is a professor at Wright State University.
The program starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, in its Trophy Room, which is accessible only by stairs. It will be followed by an open mic.
