YSO musicians play septets at church
Musicians from the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will perform septets for string and winds by Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Berwald.
Performing will be Jay Koziorynsky, violin; Johann Diaz Ramirez, viola; Jeffrey Singler, cello; Henry Samuels, bass; Alice Wang, clarinet; Mackenzie Brauns, bassoon; and Zachariah Reed, horn.
The concert starts at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 600 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. Admission is free, and funding is provided through the Music Performance Trust Fund.
Suicide awareness exhibit at AAC gallery
"Hope In Artistry: Suicide Awareness and Prevention" is on display through Nov. 25 at the Ashtabula Arts Center gallery, 2928 W. 13th St.
The juried show held during National Suicide Prevention Month was created by the Ashtabula County Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Ashtabula County LOSS Team to support survivors of suicide. It offers an artistic outlet for survivors and community artists to show support, raise awareness and start conversations about suicide loss and prevention.
A reception is planned from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 20. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
Shenango Valley Chorale plans multicourse feasts
Tickets are on sale now for an Olde English Feast, presented by the Shenango Valley Chorale's Madrigal Singers at Tara, A Country Inn, 2844 Lake Road, Clark, Pa.
The event includes appetizers and a multicourse dinner served family style as well as Renaissance era entertainment with more than 20 songs, trumpet fanfares and predinner entertainment by harpist Kirk Kupensky.
Feasts are scheduled at 6 p.m. Dec. 5, 6 and 7. The cost is $55 per person with discounts available for those reserving tables of 8 or 10 people. Tickets are available online at www.svchorale.org and by calling 724-718-5165.
Library hosts Acadia National Park program
A program on Acadia National Park is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Howland Branch, 9095 E. Market St.
Amy Reeher from the Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District will take attendees on a virtual trip to the top of Cadillac Mountain, and illustrate the natural wonders of the park and Mount Desert Island. National Parks Program: Adventures in Acadia
