The "unromantic" romantic comedy "Significant Other" opens Friday at Hopewell Theatre for a two weekend run.
Joshua Harmon's play tells the story of Jordan and his three close girlfriends who enjoy spending time together in New York City and searching for a significant other. When singles nights soon turn into bachelorette parties and Jordan can't seem to find Mr. Right, he discovers that the only thing more difficult than finding love is supporting loved ones when they do.
"Significant Other" opened Off-Broadway in 2015 and had a limited run on Broadway two years later.
Shawn Lockaton directs a cast that includes Kage Jonas Coven, Faith Boardman, Jaclyn-Sarah Senich, Makenna Liller Dahman, Jaye Mills, Jose Garcia and Connie Leathers.
"Significant Other" will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday through Sept. 13 and 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Hopewell, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens and are available online at hopewelltheatre.org and by calling or texting 330-746-5455.
