Sherlock Holmes tale presented at Warren library at 2 p.m. Saturday
Sherlock Holmes Readers' Theater will present "The Red-Headed League" at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
The dramatization of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story was prepared by Donald Novorsky, and an invited cast will read the various roles in the story, enhanced by music and sound effects to create an experience reminiscent of a classic radio drama.
Admission is free.
Niles Historical Society plans to host a vendors market on Sunday
The Niles Historical Society will have a vendors market noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ward-Thomas House, 503 Brown St., Niles. About 25 vendors will be on site and tours of the Ward-Thomas house, barn and Westenfield Room will be available. Mahoning Valley Cabaret will perform tunes from the Great American Songbook at 2 p.m. Admission is free. Guests should bring lawn chairs to watch the performance. Parking is available on the grounds and at the Niles Middle School behind the historical society property.
