McIntyre to speak to press club

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mike McIntyre, executive editor of Ideastream Public Media, will speak on "Building a Regional Public Media Newsroom" at the Youngstown Press Club's Feb. 15 luncheon.

The Cleveland-based Ideastream is the home of member-supported public broadcast stations WVIZ-TV, WKSU-FM and WCLV-FM, and McIntyre hosts shows on both radio stations. He worked for 30 years at The Plain Dealer, where he was a reporter, feature writer, Sunday magazine staffer, metro columnist and covered standup comedy.

The luncheon starts at noon at Concept Studio, 217 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Tickets are $25 for press club members and $35 for nonmembers, and the reservation deadline is Feb. 9. To register, go to youngstownpressclub.com.
