Lit Youngstown hosts Winter Gala
YOUNGSTOWN — Lit Youngstown will have its second Winter Gala on Feb. 2.
Classic characters from books is this year’s theme, and those attending are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters with prizes awarded to the winners.
The evening will include music by Susan Wojnar and Tom Mechling, and readings by Eric Alleman and Nicole Robinson.
Robinson is author of the poetry collection “Without a Field Guide” (Unbound Edition Press). Her poems have appeared in Columbia Journal, The Fourth River and Spillway. She is the recipient of an individual excellence award in poetry from the Ohio Arts Council and serves as the narrative medicine coordinator at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Desserts, savory hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and mocktails will be served.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at Concept Studio, 217 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Tickets are $35 if purchased by Friday online at lityoungstown.org. Tickets at the door the day of the event will be $45.
