Youngstown -- Youngstown Playhouse will offer two workshops in January.
Rat-A-Tap-Tap, for students ages 10 to 18, will help children prepare for future dance auditions by stomping and tapping to the beat of "Shrek Jr.," which Playhouse Youth Theatre will stage in March. The workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 6 will help students feel more comfortable with stage movement, choreography, etc.
Prop Making, for students 9 and older, will show how props are made from scratch. Eden Lesnansky will teach participants how to make crafts for Playhouse Youth Theatre's upcoming production of "Alice in Wonderland," and children will get to take home paper flowers and tea cups they made. It meets from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 13.
