"Perspectives in Clay" will be on display through Sept. 29 at the Ashtabula Arts Center.
The exhibit features works in clay by artists Anzietta DiPierro, Michael W. High, Rebecca Stowell, Gail Trunick and Theresa Yondo.
Trunick, who lives in Burghill, is known for her clay and mixed media sculpture. Her work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibition, and her pieces are in many private and public collections, including the White House collection at the Smithsonian.
DiPierro teaches visual arts at Lakeside High School in Ashtabula and works with a variety of styles, including assemblage art, metals, glass, clay and painting.
High is an Ohio artist living in Munson Township whose work has been seen locally, nationally and internationally.
Stowell is a Ann Arbor, Mich., native who has lived in Ashtabula for the last 34 years. She studied ceramics at at Southwest Texas State University and Edinboro University.
Yondo has been working with clay since 1979, making both functional and sculptural objects. She graduated from Kent State University and has taught at a variety of colleges, art schools, community centers, privately and, most recently, retirement centers facilitating art therapy.
