Spring on Park ready to blossom

Nearly 50 artists submitted work for the first Spring on Park show, which opens Saturday at downtown Warren's Art on Park building.

The nature-themed art show is a collaboration between the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County and Lotus Arts Center and is co-curated by David Wheeler and Sara Lee.

Submissions for the nonjuried show include fiber arts, sculpture, collage, oil painting, photography, pastel, watercolor, kinetic art, origami, drawings and mixed media.

According to Wheeler, the show features artists of all ages from northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania and many first-time participants in an Art on Park event.

The list of artists includes Romina Batino Stiffler, Megan Maggio, Jeffrey Bucher, Joe Davila, Josh Kronauer, Lena D'Amico, Abigail Weikart, Malorie Martin, Debbie Derrenbacher, James Hardy, Karen Fry, Carmen Denno, Amanda Baker, Diane Beatty, Ed Hallahan, Allie Vugrincic, Jody Neugebauer, Natalie Rae, Leo O'Meara, Dave Karr, Pete Vouvounas, Samandra Lynne, Sirena Rebovich, Ariana Wyndham, Vincent Wyndham, Gabriella Wyndham, Leanne Lee, Arabella Fritz, Shannon Fee, Beth Carson, Elise McKeown Skolnick, Jeff Vargo, Zenith Vargo, Trish Mullen, Alex Infante, Kendra M. Blake, Josh Meraz, Rick Maro, Lynn Anderson, Terry Polonsky, Susan Griffin, Debbie Brooks, Michele Coe, Kathryn Infante, James Shuttic, Dovey Wuvey and Lee.

The show will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Art on Park, 180 N. Park Ave., and the opening will include a plant life drawing activity presented by Lotus Art Center. The show also will be open from noon to 4 p.m. March 20, the first day of spring. Admission is free.
