Selah Dessert Theater will open its 2021-22 season with the romantic comedy "Talking To Starlight."
Lowell Williams' play chronicles the relationship between Daniel, a guy who is great at deflecting serious conversations with his humor, and Eleanor, a woman who is struggling with what she wants out of life. After dating for three months, Eleanor is offered her dream job, but it is in Chile. Should Daniel follow her to Chile to pursue a future with Eleanor or remain in the Boston area and maintain his restaurant?
Eleanor decides they should use a series of questions she found on Facebook to help them make this very important decision.
Mary Ruth Lynn directs the production, which stars Addie Lamonge as Eleanor and Lukas Roberts as Daniel. Tom O'Donnell is the assistant director with Brian Palumbo as set designer and Jeffrey Chann as lighting designer.
"Talking to Starlight" will be staged at 8 p.m. Sept. 16 to 18 and 24 and 25 in the upstairs theater space at Selah Restaurant, 130 S. Bridge St., Struthers. Tickets are $19.50 and include dessert at intermission. Tickets are available online at www.selahrestaurant.com/theater-events.
The theater is accessible only by stairs, and masks strongly are recommended for those attending.
