Lit Youngstown will host creative nonfiction writer and Akron Beacon Journal columnist Holly Christensen and poet and Alliance educator Chris Gibowicz for its next reading at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., Youngstown.
Christensen has been the parenting / family / community columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal since 2016 and teaches writing at the University of Akron. Gibowicz is a district-level administrator and was a teacher and an inner-city school principal. She drew inspiration for her book "Lead, Love, Live" from her self-care practices, leadership, love and life.
The readings will be followed by an open mic hosted by Jimmy Sutman. Admission is free.
