Lit Youngstown hosts Akron, Alliance writers

Lit Youngstown will host creative nonfiction writer and Akron Beacon Journal columnist Holly Christensen and poet and Alliance educator Chris Gibowicz for its next reading at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., Youngstown.

Christensen has been the parenting / family / community columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal since 2016 and teaches writing at the University of Akron. Gibowicz is a district-level administrator and was a teacher and an inner-city school principal. She drew inspiration for her book “Lead, Love, Live” from her self-care practices, leadership, love and life.

The readings will be followed by an open mic hosted by Jimmy Sutman. Admission is free.
