Henry and Shirley Conway will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary April 25, 2024.
Henry and the former Shirley Vanscavish were married on April 25, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Bakerton, Pa.
They have been blessed with three children: Kevin (Rhonda) Conway, Lisa (Jonathan) Sardich and Kimberly (Roy) Scott. They also have eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Henry served as a Corporal in the Marine Corp. They were both raised in West Central Pa., and they relocated to the greater Cleveland area when they were married and have resided in Trumbull County since 1978.
Henry was a machinist at Cleveland Steel Container for 42 years. Shirley is an excellent cook and impeccable housekeeper. They were both raised in large families; they have relatives in 12 different states and they hosted out-of-town guests often.
They are members of Saint Rose Church in Girard and attended Father Esposito's Bible studies.
Henry and Shirley love taking day trips to Hartville and the Amish Country and looking for treasures at thrift stores and garage sales. They enjoy listening to classic country music and reading the daily newspaper. Henry rarely missed his grandchildren's sporting events and school activities and Shirley cuddled and sang lullabies to them when they were babies.
