Walter and Nancy Moore of Burghill celebrated their 75th anniversary on Sept. 5, 2023, and were the honored couple at a celebration with family and friends on Sept. 2.
Walter, the son of the late James F. and Louise Moore, and the former Nancy Black, daughter of the late Raymond and Jane Black, were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony on Sept. 5, 1948, at Orangeville United Methodist Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Fryling and their attendants were William and Mardell Moore.
Walter retired from Ajax Magnathermic in Warren, and Nancy was a homemaker. They were also co-owners of Moore's Dairy Farm in Burghill.
The couple have five children, Charles (Daniece), James (Judith), Dan (Cheryl), Susan (Robert) and Larry (Amy). They also have 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
