William and Elizabeth Brown of Cortland were the honored couple at a 50th wedding anniversary celebration with family and friends Aug. 6, 2023, at Conneaut Lake, Pa.
Mr. Brown and the former Elizabeth Witkowski were married Aug. 4, 1973, at Our Lady of Czestochova Church in New Castle, Pa., by the Rev. Casimir Lewandowski.
They both graduated from Youngstown State University.
William retired from Delphi Packard and previously had worked for U.S. Steel, ITT Grinnell, Copperweld and as a manufacturer's representative.
Elizabeth retired from the Finance Department of Delphi after 30 years of service.
The couple have one daughter, Jacy (Dan) Nichols of Avon, and two grandsons.
William and Elizabeth enjoy boating at Conneaut Lake and attending their grandsons' sporting events.
