Trumbull County Chapter of Public Employee Retirees Inc. (PERI) will meet Wednesday at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road, Warren, OH 44484. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10:45 a.m. A $10 luncheon will follow the program.
Tonya Shaw of the Ohio Consumers' Council will be the guest speaker. The Ohio Consumers' Council is an independent state agency that serves as the legal representative and advocate for residential utility consumers throughout Ohio. Shaw will share information about the council's role in protecting consumers and helping Ohioans better understand their rights and options when it comes to utility services. She will provide helpful information about utility services, consumer rights and ways Ohio residents can protect themselves.
PERI meetings are open to public employee retirees, current employees and members from other county chapters offering timely information, fellowship and programs focused on current interests.
