RETIREES TO MEET: Howland Schools Retired Personnel will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 4, at Shepherd of the Valley, North River Road, Warren. The cost of the meal, payable at the door, is $10. Spouses and guests of retirees are welcome to attend. Reservations for an accurate count must be in by Tuesday. PERI TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees (P.E.R.I.) of Mahoning County Chapter 18 will meet for a luncheon meeting at noon Aug. 4, at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. The cost is $20.

In honor of our 250th year, the guest speaker will be Traci Manning, curator of education at the Mahoning Valley Historical Society. She will present interesting historical facts about our area.

GIRARD MULTI-GENERATIONAL CENTER: The Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., Girard, OH 44420, is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Center services and programs are funded by the Girard City Senior Levy and in part by the Trumbull County Senior Levy and Direction Home of Eastern Ohio.
