GOSPEL CONCERT: First Baptist Church of Niles, 26 E. Church St., will host a gospel concert with Wes Hampton at 7 p.m. Friday.
SUPERHERO WEEKEND: Rock of Grace Church in Vernon will host Superhero Summerfest with a family night 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 11 and a special service with the children at 9:30 a.m. July 12.
PATRIOTIC CONCERT: Grace Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren, will host a lawn concert at 7 p.m. July 15 with the Cortland Community Band. There will be patriotic selections for America’s 250th. Proceeds from the event will help fill children’s shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
NEIGHBORHOOD MOVIE NIGHT: Morgandale Nazarene Church, 1985 Overland Ave., Warren, will host a second annual summer family neighborhood movie night at 8:30 p.m. Friday. The movie is “The Jesus Film” with free snacks. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown indoors.
CHURCH HOSTS LADIES EVENT: Southington Christian Church, 3285 state Route 534, will host an “In the Garden” ladies event honoring a Legacy of Faith immediately following the service at 10:45 a.m. July 19. The event is hosted by Ashley Morrow in loving memory of her grandmother, Gwendolyn Irene Arnold, to celebrate the quiet strength and lasting legacy of faithful women. The theme is “Consider the Lillies,” reminding people to trust God’s care and provision. The event is free and cosponsored by Philip Clingerman and will include refreshments, music, a short devotional and seed packets to take home.
MASSES AT FAIRGROUNDS: In order to serve rural families living on area fairgrounds during fair weeks, the Diocesan Office of Rural Life and Ministry announces opportunities to celebrate Catholic Mass at county fairs. The Rev. Kevin Peters will celebrate Mass at the Trumbull County Fair at noon July 19 at the Historical Stage.
GROW CAMP: Registrations are now being accepted for two GROW Camps for children ages 5-12 at Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center. The two sessions of GROW Camp will be July 13 to 16 or July 20 to 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities will include hands-on learning experiences with plants, animals and insects, exploring forests, ponds and wetlands, playing games and swimming. Lunch and snacks will be provided during both camps. Register online at vmesc.org.
GUIDED LABYRINTH: The Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will offer a Guided Labyrinth Walk 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The theme is “Honoring Struggles and Letting Go.” The labyrinth is a tool that allows participants to explore their inner space and discover the sacred within and around them. Participants prayerfully walk the outdoor grass path after receiving thematic instructions from the presenter. This event takes place on the grounds of Villa Maria Community Center. Walks are free, but registration is preferred. The event will take place rain or shine. If inclement weather is in the forecast, the labyrinth walk will take place in the Activities Building.
SERBIAN DAY: The 93rd annual Serbian Day will take place noon to 8 p.m. July 26 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 39 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The event will include a picnic, musical entertainment, 50-50 raffle and children’s activities. Admission is free.

• First Baptist Church, 2640 S. Canal St., Newton Falls — 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 12 to 17 for ages 4 to sixth grade. The theme is “True North-Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.” Register at www.fbcnewtonfalls.com.
• Orwell United Methodist Church, 80 S. Maple St., Orwell — 6 to 8:15 p.m. July 27 to 31 for ages 4 to sixth grade. This is the Grand Valley Community VBS. Preregister at the Grand Valley Library or call 440-437-8225.
NEW SERIES: Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center in Villa Maria, Pa. offers a monthly Mothers’ Circle Series. Mia DiRienzo Olson will facilitate in person 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 17. Throughout all of human history, women have been gathering in community to support one another through the transformative processes of their monthly cycles, pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. Mothers’ Circles are informal, discussion-based gatherings in which women can come together to process the joys, griefs, hardships and fears of mothering in our modern world.
