• OSU Mahoning County Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield. 330-533-5538. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• OSU Trumbull County Extension Office, 520 W. Main St. Suite 1, Cortland. 330-638-6783. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Plant and Pest Clinic

You can submit your questions by calling the Mahoning County office at 330-533-5538 or emailing us at mahoningclinic@osu.edu.

Please attach photos and add any information that would help research your plant and pest questions. The clinic is open April through October, Monday and Thursday 9 a.m. to noon. Walk-ins are welcome.

Veggies & More Tour

WHAT: Learn about growing practices, helpful tips, soils, organic production and more. Bring a lawn chair for seating and a notepad. Don't forget your weeds, disease and insects -- we'll diagnose what's going on in your garden, too!

Vermiculture 101

WHAT: Join OSU Extension Mahoning County and The Mahoning County Green Team to learn the basics of vermicomposting. Discover how composting worms turn food scraps into nutrient-rich compost, how to set up and maintain a worm bin and what worms should (and shouldn’t) eat. Participants will receive a bin to take home and start composting right away.
