Shepherd of the Valley Poland opening new memory care floor
POLAND — Shepherd of the Valley has announced the expansion of services at its Poland campus with the addition of a newly designed Memory Care floor, offering a secure and specialized environment for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other forms of memory loss.
The new Memory Care environment features a secure, locked wing with round-the-clock supervision provided by a qualified care team. Residents benefit from personalized care plans tailored to their cognitive and emotional needs, while maintaining independence in a safe, supportive setting.
Designed with both comfort and cognitive engagement in mind, the floor includes:
• Private rooms
• Color-coded hallways for easier navigation
• Overflow-protected toilets, sinks and showers
• Family dining room
• Cognitive development stations
• Memory boxes and memory clocks
• Specialized daily activities
• Sensory rooms
• Textured walls for sensory engagement
• An enclosed patio for all seasons
• Outdoor sensory garden
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to creating an environment where residents feel secure, valued and engaged,” said Lauren Flauto, director of marketing, sales and communication.
The public is invited to attend an open house March 24 to learn more about Memory Care services at Shepherd of the Valley Poland.
