RETIREES TO MEET: St. Joseph Warren Hospital Retirees will meet 11 a.m. Monday at Wayside Restaurant in Champion for brunch. Retired and former employees from St. Joseph or Warren General Hospital are welcome to attend. Attendees are requested to bring nonperishable items for food bank donation.

PERI TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees (P.E.R.I.) of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will meet June 3 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. Lunch starts at noon. Cost is $19.

Guest Speakers will be Cassandra Valentini, chief of community development and public relations of Direction Home of Eastern Ohio. Michael Muder will also give a brief presentation about The Goodwill Youngstown Radio Reading Service, which broadcasts readings of local newspapers, magazines and books & talk shows for people who are blind or visually impaired.

PERI welcomes ALL OPERS employees and retirees in the TRI-County area to join Chapter 18. Membership information can be obtained by calling Marilyn at 330-565-6913.

Reservations are required and due by May 27 by contacting Carol, 330-758-5239, Janice, 330-270-8611 or Diane, 330-547-9612. Anyone with dietary restrictions, advise the person taking your reservation.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER: The center, 150 College St., Farmington, is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 330-889-2733.

Lunches are $5 for those 60 and older and $6 for those younger than 60. They are served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Homemade soups, salads and desserts are available.

Activities through the week will include Dominoes, current events, puzzle challenge, Self Reliance Society, walking club, knitting, arts and crafts, Matter of Balance, card games, practical skills, workout with light weights and more.
