Rebranded and expanded: Valley Health Services
SCOPE’s parent organization, Axess Family Services, has announced its brand-new health care center location opening in Warren behind the Robins Theatre this month.
Valley Health Services will now offer primary medical care, dental services and an in-house pharmacy in addition to its longstanding behavioral healthcare services.
The expanded services will be available at Valley Health Services’ Market Street office in downtown Warren, with plans to soon introduce primary care at its Belmont Avenue location. Remodeling construction has been ongoing for months at the Warren location. Patients at the Valley Children and Adolescent Services office will also have access to healthcare services at the Market Street location.
Valley Counseling Services is excited to announce its rebranding as Valley Health Services, reflecting its expanded commitment to whole-person care. With a fresh new look and logo, Valley Health Care is accepting new patients.
This transformation comes as part of Valley Health Services’ new designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), following its merger with AxessPointe Community Health Centers and Family and Community Services on Jan. 1, 2024.
As an FQHC, Valley Health Services will offer care on a sliding fee scale and provide assistance with enrollment in Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring that high-quality healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of financial status. Any private insurance plan will also be accepted to receive services.
“We are thrilled to introduce Valley Health Services and expand our offerings to meet the full spectrum of healthcare needs in our community,” Renee Klaric, Director of Valley Health Services, said. “This transition allows us to provide truly integrated, patient-centered care that addresses physical, dental, and mental health all under one roof.”
Valley Counseling Services has been a trusted provider for over 65 years, offering compassionate, high-quality care to Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana and Geauga counties and surrounding areas. This was a natural transition to add medical services to a quality counseling services agency with psychiatric services.
One of our most exciting healthcare partnerships is with the LeBron James Family Foundation in Akron, located across the street from LeBron’s private school he established.
Family and Community Services, one of Ohio’s largest social service nonprofits, is merging with Akron-based AxessPointe Health Care Centers to form Axess Family Services, offering both healthcare and social programs.
We already offer programs such as veterans support, homelessness and employment assistance, senior citizen services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, domestic violence and visitation services, food and clothing services, transitional and permanent housing, AmeriCorps, Retired Senior Volunteer Programs (RSVP), Foster Grandparents, adoption services, counseling services and transportation.
I am also excited for our SCOPE medical and senior care business members who will be able to partner with our new healthcare center to offer services such as physical therapy, pain management, rehabilitation, home health care, Alzheimer’s support, hospice and palliative care, assisted living and more.
