SENIOR EVENT: Cortland Healthcare Center is hosting a Senior Series Event 11 a.m. Tuesday at the center, 369 N. High St., Cortland.

This senior event includes a guest speaker, 30-minute exercise and lunch provided by Cortland HC. The event requires registration by contacting the facility at 330-638-4015 and asking for Jessica Popp, admissions director.

The Senior Series will be held every three months and feature Senior Health resources open to the public.

PERI TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees Inc. of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will host a luncheon meeting at noon Tuesday at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road in Canfield.

Guest speaker will be PERI’s District 11 Representative Regina Witsaman, who will provide the latest updates and swear in new officers.

MULTI-GENERATIONAL CENTER EVENTS: The Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., Girard, is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Breakfast is 8 a.m. daily. Contact Christine at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment and to register for events.

• Cookie decorating: 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the coffee bar.

• Monthly birthday celebration: 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the coffee bar.

• Chocolate bingo: 10 to 11 a.m. Feb. 7 in the coffee bar.

• Craft class: 9 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 10 in the coffee bar.

• Bingo with Windsor House: 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Feb. 11 in the coffee bar.

• Valentine’s potluck breakfast: 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 12. Those attending should bring a dish to share. Sign up at the center or call.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER: The center, 150 College St., Farmington, is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Call 330-889-2733. Lunches are $5 for those 60 and older and $6 for younger than 60. They are served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Homemade soups, salads and desserts available. HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS: Patriot Hospice, a branch of Patriot At Home Youngstown / Warren, 986 Tibbetts Wick Road, Girard, is looking for companionship volunteers to visit with hospice patients and their caregivers; people to do errands and tasks around the house; and also administrative duties. McDONALD CENTER: McDonald Community Room, 500 Ohio Ave., offers recreational activities for anyone 60 and older living in Trumbull County.
