DENTAL DAY OF CARE: Braydich Dental in Hubbard is hosting its annual Smiles From the Heart event, a free day of dental care to provide essential oral health services to those who typically can't afford dental care.

From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Braydich will offer fillings, cleanings, extractions or denture adjustments to individuals in need at Braydich Dental's office at 45 E. Liberty St., Hubbard (across the street from the post office).

Smiles From the Heart is for those without dental insurance or who cannot typically afford dental services. The first 200 people (first-come, first-served) to register at the office beginning at 7 a.m. will receive their choice of a filling, cleaning, extraction or denture adjustment at no cost. All patients must register before 1 p.m.

MAMMOGRAPHY VAN SCHEDULE: The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center Mobile Mammography Unit will travel around northeast Ohio throughout October. The JACBCC was created to deliver the most accurate prevention, early detection, diagnosis and support services in the region, and the center's mobile unit provides easier access to quality care to women all over the Mahoning Valley.

Screening locations are:

 Today, 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Brookfield schools, 614 Bedford Road.

 Wednesday, 8 to 11 a.m. -- Churchill Primary Care, 4694 Belmont Ave., Liberty.

 Wednesday, 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. -- Cortland Primary Care, Windsor Drive, Cortland.

 Thursday, 8 to 11:15 a.m. -- Mineral Ridge Primary Care, 1360 N. Canfield Niles Road, Mineral Ridge.

 Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. -- Howland Primary Care, 1932 Niles Cortland Road, Howland.

 Oct. 10, 8:15 to 11 a.m. --Champion Primary Care, 5901 Mahoning Ave., Champion.

 Oct. 10, 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. -- Warren Primary Care, 1296 Tod Place NW, Warren.

 Oct. 12 -- Howland Primary Care, 1932 Niles Cortland Road, Warren, 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Screening mammograms are usually a covered benefit with most insurance carriers and do not require a physician order. Financial assistance for mobile screenings also is available.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Warren City Health District will offer a COVID-19 clinic and Wellness on Wheels services. The updated COVID-19 vaccine is available at the Warren City Health District for those who are eligible for the new Bridge Access Program, which recently was launched by the CDC.

Contact the Warren City Health District for eligibility requirements before coming to a vaccine clinic. Call the health district with questions at 330-841-2596.

The Warren City Health District also will continue its Wellness on Wheels mobile services by visiting the following location:

NAR-ANON GROUP TO MEET: NAR-ANON Family Group meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Girard. NAR-ANON was established to give support and hope to those who have a friend or loved one suffering from the disease of addiction.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY: Celebrate Recovery support group for those recovering from addiction or any mental health issue, meets 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at 6779 Belmont Ave., Girard.

EATING DISORDER HELP: The National Association for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and other Eating Disorders will meet 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage, Pa.

MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES: Mercy Health is hosting an educational event for Medicare beneficiaries 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Mercy Health - St. Joe's at the Mall, 5555 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles. The event will include health screenings, Medicare 101 education and refreshments. Payer representatives also may be available to answer beneficiary-initiated questions pertaining to Medicare Advantage plans.
