JFCS MEALS IN TRUMBULL: The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown and Jewish Family and Community Services are offering meals to those 60 and older through the Trumbull County Title III program.
Participants must meet nutritional guidelines, be homebound and be unable to prepare their own meals. A brief over-the-phone assessment is required to be approved for the program. Call 330-884-6386 for more information.
JFCS is also accepting new mental health counseling clients. Licensed, experienced professionals provide in office or in home therapy for individuals, groups, families and children to help with mental health challenges and life transitions. For more information, call 330-746-7929.

FOWLER-VIENNA SENIOR CITIZENS: The group meets 9:30 a.m. or later Thursdays at the Fowler Community Center to play cards, dominoes and euchre. The center is for those 55 and older. For information, call Charles Williams at 330-609-0318.
NUTRITION SITES AVAILABLE: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs. Meals are delivered to county residents 60 and older who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves and not living with someone who can cook for them. Client donations are accepted. The menu is:
• TODAY: Honey garlic meatballs, buttered bowties, carrots, wheat bread, pears, ice cream;
• MONDAY: Chicken salad, coleslaw, summer corn, sandwich bun, mixed fruit, cookie;
• TUESDAY: Beef goulash, broccoli, warm cinnamon peaches, wheat bread, side salad with Italian dressing, cookie;
• WEDNESDAY: Apple-roasted pork, scalloped potatoes, Oriental blend vegetables, biscuit, pineapple, mini muffin;
• THURSDAY: Country fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, dinner roll, fresh orange, sherbet;
• AUG. 18: Sliced ham, sweet potato puffs, Brussels sprouts, wheat bread, pears, mini loaf.
