DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION: The Trumbull-Mahoning Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Collaborative, formed by the Mental Health and Recovery Boards of Mahoning and Trumbull counties, meets at 1 p.m. Friday at Direction Home of Northeast Ohio, 1030 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown. There is also a virtual option available, the link for which can be found at: www.trumbullmhrb.org or mahoningcountyoh.gov.
The boards are optimistic that this collaborative will help to identify and address barriers and gaps within Mahoning and Trumbull counties systems of care. The committee seeks to engage stakeholders, including agencies and individuals to join the committee from varying sectors of the community.
The committee is co-chaired by Katie Cretella, Director of Clinical Services at TCMHRB and Brenda Heidinger, Associate Director of the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board.

GRIEF EDUCATION: Cornerstone of Hope, Ohio's leading grief center, is hosting "Understanding Your Grief: Touchstones for Hope & Healing" presented by nationally renowned grief educator, Dr. Alan Wolfelt, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Embassy Suites Cleveland Rockside in Independence.
This free program will help all of us understand how loss influences our lives. Participants will embrace the uniqueness of their grief, quietly reflect on their feelings of loss, learn about the six essential needs when someone dies, and come to understand the difference between "reconciling" and "resolving" grief.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: Local venues will host Warren City Health District's "Wellness on Wheels" Mobile Health Unit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Community Volunteer Council Food Distribution Center, 1642 W. Market St., Warren.
The vehicle has visited each ward in the city offering health screenings.
