TCCHD HOLDS CLINICS: Trumbull County Combined Health District holds vaccination clinics at the West Farmington Fire Station for childhood vaccines, which includes the Pertussis or "whooping cough" vaccination.
Whooping cough is an illness that affects the lungs and is easily spread from person to person through coughs and sneezes. A person who contracts whooping cough may be able to spread the illness to other people for up to 21 days, and may not be able to return to work, school, or day care for the same amount of time.
To be fully protected, a child should receive five doses of the vaccine between the ages of two months to 6 years of age. Pertussis vaccines, as well as other childhood vaccines, are available for free at the West Farmington Fire Station, 151 W. College St., West Farmington. The Walk-in Childhood Immunization Clinic dates are 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 15, Sept 19 and Nov. 21. You will need to bring the child's most current immunization record.

MAMMOGRAPHY VAN: The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center Mobile Mammography Unit will be traveling around northeast Ohio throughout the month of July.
Screening dates are:
• Today, 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. -- Howland Primary Care, 1932 Niles-Cortland Road
• Thursday, 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. -- Vienna Primary Care, 341 Youngstown-Kingsville Road.
Screening mammograms are usually a covered benefit with most insurance carriers and do not require a physician order. Financial assistance for mobile screenings is also available.

TCCHD VACCINES: The Trumbull County Combined Health District will host a vaccine clinic from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the TCCHD offices, 176 Chestnut Ave. NE, Warren. The first 20 people to be vaccinated will receive a Giant Eagle gift card. The clinics are offering COVID-19 vaccines and the mRNA bivalent boosters. Recipients must be at least two months from completion of the primary series or most recent booster to be eligible for the COVID bivalent mRNA booster. Patients receiving additional or booster doses need to bring their vaccine cards. No appointment is necessary.
ALZHEIMER'S ON FACEBOOK: The Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter's next Caregiver Corner will be at noon Thursday.
The series includes question-and-answer periods on topics rang ing from how to care for oneself as a caregiver, how to address eating and nutrition issues for your loved one and traveling with the loved one.
The sessions, which are free, are broadcast the last Thursday of each month at noon on the Association's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/alzgeoac. Caregivers can contact the Greater East Ohio Area Chapter during office hours at 330-650-0552 or through the 24/7 Helpline at 800-272-3900, which provides around-the-clock care.
DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION: The Trumbull-Mahoning Diversity Equity and Inclusion Collaborative, formed by the Mental Health and Recovery Boards of Mahoning and Trumbull counties, meets at 1 p.m. Friday at Direction Home of Northeast Ohio, 1030 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown. There is also a virtual option available, the link for which can be found at: www.trumbullmhrb.org.
The committee is co-chaired by Katie Cretella, director of Clinical Services at TCMHRB and Brenda Heidinger, associate director of the Mahoning County MHRB.
