Perennials, containers and more

What: The best plants in the best locations are the focus of this daylong seminar. Pam Bennett, OSU Extension, will share the "New and Tried-and-True in the Perennial World" and Laura Deeter, OSU horticulture, will speak on "Captivating Containers." Breakouts include cut-flower gardens; soils; a garden walk-about with pruning; and garden art options of ink tiles or a garden journal.

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

Accepting Materials For Fabric Frenzy

What: Mahoning Country Extension Office is accepting donations of fabrics and sewing supplies for the fourth annual Fabric Frenzy 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 16 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 17.
