RETIREES TO MEET: St. Joseph Warren Hospital Retirees will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wayside Restaurant in Champion. Retired and former employees from St. Joseph or Warren General Hospital are welcome to attend.

Attendees are requested to bring nonperishable items for a food bank donation.

RETIREES LUNCH: 717 Credit Union Retirees will have a luncheon noon Wednesday at the Buena Vista Cafe, Warren. Reservations must be made by Saturday by contacting 717creditunionretirees@gmail.com, or by phone or text at 330-550-7871.

SENIOR RIDES: Applications to use the senior rides services are available by calling Diane Siskowic-Jurkovic, Trumbull County senior levy administrator, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 330-675-7846, by emailing her at SLJurkov@co.trumbull.oh.us, or online at http://seniorlevyservice.co.trumbull.oh.us. They also can be picked up at Trumbull County SCOPE Centers in Warren, Howland, Champion, Cortland, Lordstown and Niles.

For rides, seniors can call:

• Comfort Care-A-Van, 330-744-4145, for wheelchair trips or any other trip over 10 miles;

• All American USA Taxi, 330-395-3226, for nonwheelchair rides 10 miles or fewer;

• Country Neighbor, 440-437-6311, for any trip originating in the northern tier of the county;

• Garwin Inc., 330-534-1335, for nonwheelchair rides 10 miles or fewer.

HUBBARD SENIORS: The Hubbard seniors are looking for more card players to join their group. The group meets 9:30 a.m. Thursdays at the community room at the rear of City Hall on West Liberty Street. Lunch is available at cost.

SSAG NEEDS VOLUNTEERS: The Senior Support Action Group, a nonprofit program that provides services to homebound seniors 55 and older in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, is seeking both clients and volunteers.

The program provides monthly food box deliveries, phone pals and transportation to medical appointments.

CORTLAND SENIOR CENTER: The Cortland Area Senior Citizen Center at Cortland Christian Church, 153 Grove Drive, is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays with activities such as cards, fitness, board games, puzzles, coloring, arts and crafts and walking, along with free coffee for visitors.

Lunches are served around noon. Make a reservation three days in advance by calling 330-509-2415 or by stopping by the center. Cost is $3 for those 60 and older and $6 for people younger than 60. No carryouts are available.

SCOPE EVENTS: SCOPE Senior Services in Warren, 375 N. Park Ave., offers free knitting lessons 2 p.m. the first and third Mondays of the month.

Trivia games will be played at 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays.

FALLS CENTER OFFERS LUNCH: Newton Falls SCOPE, 612 W. Broad St., serves hot lunches to senior citizens. Call the center two days in advance at 330-306-9577. Meals are free, but participants are asked to provide a donation.

The center is open for a wide variety of activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Masking and social distancing rules are followed.

NUTRITION SITES AVAILABLE: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs. Meals are delivered to county residents 60 and older who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves and not living with someone who can cook for them. Client donations are accepted. Call 330-675-2486. Reservations must be made by 2 p.m. two working days in advance.

• TODAY: Crab cake with tartar sauce, baked beans, peas, dinner roll, applesauce, cookie;

• MONDAY: Pork loin with sauerkraut, whipped potatoes, diced carrots, wheat bread, seasonal fresh fruit, ice cream;

•TUESDAY: Swedish meatballs, white rice, Brussels sprouts, wheat bread, pineapple, mini loaf;

• WEDNESDAY: Breaded lemon pepper fish, whipped sweet potatoes, stewed tomatoes, dinner roll, seasonal fresh fruit, pudding;

• THURSDAY: Chicken Cobb salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, egg and cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, dinner roll, raisins, sherbet;

• APRIL 28: Stuffed pepper casserole, whipped potatoes, carrots, white bread, peaches, angel food cake.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER: 150 College St., Farmington, 7 a.m. to

2 p.m. Mondays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Call 330-889-2733. Lunches are $5 for ages 60 and older and $6 for younger than 60. Served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. No reservations required. Lunch menu is posted on the center's Facebook page.
