RETIREES SET MEETING: St. Joseph Warren Hospital Retirees will resume monthly meetings 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wayside Restaurant in Champion. Retired and former employees from St. Joseph or Warren General Hospital are welcome.

Attendees are requested to bring nonperishable items for food bank donation.

RETIREES TO MEET: Trumbull Retired Teachers will meet noon Oct. 11 at Ciminero’s Centre in Niles, with reservations due Oct. 1. The speaker will be Edrea Mientkiewicz, the deputy director of the Trumbull County Board of Elections.

SCOPE OFFERS CLASSES: SCOPE information technology director Kevin Weber is offering free classes that present ways for seniors to avoid being scammed and steps that can be taken to protect themselves from such events happening with their computers and cell phones.

Classes will take place at various SCOPE Senior Centers, including Warren Senior Center at 2:30 p.m. Monday and Niles Senior Center at noon on Wednesday.

Once seniors have attended a class, they will be invited to schedule an appointment for Weber to examine their phone or laptop to make sure it has appropriate protection.

NUTRITION SITES AVAILABLE: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly, provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs, operates seven sites. Meals are delivered to county residents 60 and older who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves and not living with someone who can cook for them. Client donations are accepted. The menu is:

• Today: Lasagna roll with meat sauce, broccoli, carrots, dinner roll, peaches and mini loaf;

• Monday: Sliced ham with pineapple, mashed sweet potatoes, peas, wheat bread, fresh fruit, pudding;

• Tuesday: Barbecue meatballs, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, mixed fruit, angel food cake;

• Wednesday: Creamy chicken and veggies, dumplings, warm cinnamon apples, biscuit, salad, sherbet;

• Thursday: Breaded fish sandwich, potato wedges, cheese, fresh fruit, mini muffin;

• Sept. 30: Hawaiian pork chop, vegetable rice pilaf, coleslaw, bread, Mandarin oranges, cookie.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER: 150 College St., Farmington, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Call 330-889-2733. Lunches are $4 for ages 60 and older and $5 for younger than 60. Lunch menu is posted on the center’s Facebook page.
