NARFE CANCELS MEETINGS: NARFE National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NA Chapter 14 is canceling its spring meetings (March through June) due to COVID-19 concerns. Meetings should resume in September. Refer questions to Nancy at 330-953-0077.
NUTRITION SITES AVAILABLE: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at seven locations in the county. Meals will be delivered to county residents 60 and older who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves and not living with someone who can cook for them. Client donations are accepted. • Today -- Seafood macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, peas, dinner roll, fresh fruit, pudding;
• Monday -- Burrito bowl with chicken taco meat, black bean salsa and rice, dinner roll, fresh fruit, juice box, mini-loaf;
• Tuesday -- Cabbage casserole, whipped potatoes, carrots, wheat bread, applesauce, cookie;
• Wednesday -- Cold turkey Reuben with turkey, Swiss cheese, kraut and bun, potato salad, three-bean salad, Mandarin oranges, lime sherbet;
• Thursday -- Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, peas, dinner roll, tossed salad with Ranch dressing, mixed fruit, angel food cake;
•March 19 -- White chicken chili, corn, warm peaches, biscuit, pudding.
OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM: Direction Home of Eastern Ohio (formerly Area Agency on Aging 11) is looking for volunteers to join the Ombudsman Program to advocate for excellence for those living in long-term care facilities.
Ombudsman help ensure that residents of long-term care facilities receive quality care and treatment. Volunteers will make phone calls and virtual visits to residents.
The training to become a certified volunteer will be provided virtually. Call 330-505-2338 for more information.
TMM NEEDS VOLUNTEERS: Trumbull Mobile Meals needs volunteers to help deliver meals. All areas of Trumbull County can use help.

SCSEP OFFERS TRAINING: SCOPE Senior Service Centers have been providing host job sites along with other nonprofits in the area for the Vantage Aging Senior Community Service Employment Program. This program offers paid job training and placement to low-income adults 55 and older.
