FAIRBORN -- Cameron Morse is Youngstown State's go-to player.
The 6-foot-2 junior is one of the Horizon League's leading scorers, averaging around 22 points per outing.
His backcourt mate, junior point guard Francisco Santiago, is having a better than average season himself.
Saturday, he scored 18 of his team-high 20 points in the second half as the YSU men's basketball team rallied to defeat Wright State Saturday at the Nutter Center, 80-75.
Santiago averaged 12.9 per game coming into Saturday's contest.
This is the second time in three years the Penguins have won in the Dayton suburb. YSU (8-9, 2-2 Horizon League) defeated the Raiders two seasons ago, 74-69.
Morse scored 16 points, including 14 in the second half, and seniors Jorden Kaufman and Matt Donlan had 14 and 11 points, respectively for the Penguins.
Donlan scored in double figures for the first time since the Dec. 20 game at Ohio State where he had 10. He has been limited to less than 10 in the first three Horizon League contests.
The Raiders (11-6, 2-2), had all five starters reach double figures -- led by Steven Davis' 19 points and 18 from Justin Mitchell. Grant Benzinger had a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Mark Alstork had 12 and Parker Ernsthausen chipped in 10.
The Penguins trailed 44-30 at the half, but outscored the Raiders 50-31 in the second half and shot 60 percent from the field after intermission. The Penguins also limited the Raiders to shooting just 32.4 percent in the second half.
Santiago made 7-of-9 of his second-half field-goal attempts, while Morse made six of his seven baskets in the second half.
The Penguins return home to host Valparaiso Thursday at the Beeghly Center.
