BRISTOL 76, MAPLEWOOD 40: BRISTOLVILLE -- Gage Elza broke Bristol's all-time single-game scoring record, scoring 49 points in three quarters of play in the Northeastern Athletic Conference game. The previous record was 48 points by Larry Armstrong during the 1966-67 season.
Elza also had six rebounds and four assists. He was backed by Matt Church with 18 points and eight rebounds, and Damion Durst with six assists and three steals as Bristol improved to 9-2 overall and 6-0 in the NAC.
The Panthers led 15-6 after one quarter and 43-15 at halftime.
Hunter Bates scored 13 points for Maplewood (3-10, 2-4).
JOHN F. KENNEDY 55, YOUNGSTOWN EAST 51: WARREN -- John F. Kennedy's Gianni Eaton scored 14 of his game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Eagles to a comeback victory over East.
JFK (5-7)trailed 38-34 going into the fourth quarter, but Eaton sank three of his five 3-pointers in the final eight minutes and was 5-of-8 from the free-throw line in the frame. The Eagles outscored East, 21-13, in the fourth.
The Golden Bears struggled from the free-throw line in the final period, making 7-of-14. Jarail Jenkins paced East with 13 points, while Deland Richardson added 12.
LAKEVIEW 63, JEFFERSON 35: JEFFERSON -- Three Lakeview players scored in double figures, and the Bulldogs held Jefferson under 10 points in all quarters but one in a Northeast-8 Conference victory.
Daniel Evans and Jeff Remmick each scored 15 for Lakeview (10-2, 5-1), which took a 26-15 halftime lead. Brendon Kilpatrick added 14 more points as the Bulldogs extended their lead with a 13-8 advantage in the third quarter.
Brandon Strang was the only Falcon to score in double figures with 11.
MATHEWS 58, CHALKER 50: SOUTHINGTON -- Mathews rallied in the fourth quarter to pull out a Northeastern Athletic Conference road victory. Vinny Sharp scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in the final eight minutes as the Mustangs (7-4, 4-3 NAC) outscored Chalker, 20-8. The Wildcats (4-10, 2-5) ed 17-13 after one quarter, 29-25 at halftime and 42-38 after three quarters.
Zak Arnio added 13 points and eight rebounds for Mathews, and John Smith had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Chalker was led by Aidan Ricks with 12 points, Kyle Caracanas with 11 and Joradn Kellar with nine.
PYMATUNING VALLEY 58, LORDSTOWN 39: LORDSTOWN -- Pymatuning Valley trailed 14-10 after one quarter, then blew the game open in the middle two quarters of its Northeastern Athletic Conference victory. The Lakers (9-3, 6-1 NAC) used a 16-3 second quarter to open a 26-17 halftime lead, then increased the margin to 47-27 after three quarters.
Austin Roberts led PV with 26 points and Nick Sapp added 11.
Lordstown (1-11, 0-7 NAC) dropped its ninth in a row. Force scored seven points for the Red Devils.
SOUTH RANGE 53, GIRARD 45: GIRARD -- A 23-13 third quarter in South Range's favor put the Raiders (8-4, 4-2) in control of this Northeast-8 Confverence contest. Girard (7-4, 3-3) trailed 12-11 after one quarter and 19-18 at halftime.
Austin Claussell led Girard with 19 points and Matt Payich added 10 points.
