WEATHERSFIELD -- The body of a Niles man was recovered in Weathersfield Township Monday afternoon according to a police computer-aided dispatch sheet.
The body of Steven Evans, 24, of Niles, was recovered in the area of Warren Avenue and DeForest Road by responding units from Weathersfield and Niles, according to the CAD sheet.
Around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Niles dispatch received reports from a caller that said they had found items belonging to Evans.
Responding to the call, officers recovered Evans' body around 2:30 p.m. and the coroner was called.
According to the Niles Police Facebook page, Evans was last seen at Wadell Park before being reported missing Sept. 18.
Evans' cause of death has yet to be determined.
