WEATHERSFIELD -- A garage at 2520 Chestnut St. was destroyed in a fire Monday.
Reports state a neighbor on Chestnut Street saw the fire just before 9:45 a.m. and went to the owner's house, but the person was not home.
Township fire officials said a vehicle inside the garage was also damaged. A damage estimate was not available. The cause is under investigation.
