WARREN -- Warren police and fire crews were called out just before 11 p.m. Thursday to a five-vehicle accident at the intersection of West Market Street and Parkman Road.
Police were taping off the intersection, which was covered with glass, debris and vehicle parts. One vehicle sustained severe damage and was crushed.
Witnesses at the scene said a vehicle was traveling at a high speed west on West Market Street and passing others when the vehicle collided with four vehicles at the intersection before ending up near the Dollar General store parking lot.
Witnesses said police took one man into custody.
Five ambulances were at the scene transporting several people. Fire crews were doing chest compressions on one person.
No further information was available Thursday night because police and fire crews were still on the scene.
