AUSTINTOWN -- The driver of a car traveling east on Interstate 80 Sunday evening who lost control and drove off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail is believed to have suffered a heart attack.
Matthew C. Curto, 59, of Warren, was unresponsive when firefighters arrived at the accident.
Curto appeared to have suffered a cardiac episode, according to fire officials. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Curto, according to a crash report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
