WARREN -- A man pleaded guilty Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to leaving the scene of an accident, according to court records.

Ryan Blair, 37, Kinsman, was charged with the felony after Cassie Barry of state Route 7, Kinsman, was struck by his truck just after 8 p.m. Sept. 14 on state Route 88 in Vernon, near Bushnell Campbell Road. She suffered cuts to her head and arm from where the mirror on the vehicle struck her as she walked on the road with some children, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol crash report.

Blair told troopers he thought he hit a mailbox and continued driving, but his wife drove him back to the scene after he drank some vodka.

He had a .104 blood alcohol content level, according to the crash report. The legal limit for driving in Ohio is 0.08.

A presentence investigation is scheduled before Blair is sentenced.
