HUBBARD — A head-on, two-vehicle accident Thursday morning on U.S. Route 62 sent the driver of one of the vehicles to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in critical condition.

According to a report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cathleen Johnson, 53, of Youngstown, was traveling east on U.S. Route 62 in a four-door 2004 Toyota when her vehicle went left of center, hitting a a 2013 Kenworth commercial fuel tanker truck heading west and driven by James McGarry, 54, of Hubbard. The truck driver reported minor injuries.

Johnson was critically injured, the patrol said.

Both Hubbard Township and Hubbard City police assisted at the scene.
