Man accused of hitting woman with pizza

BROOKFIELD — A township man is due in Eastern District Court today to answer to an accusation he hit a woman in the face with a pizza, according to a police report.

Kenneth Evans, 24, faces a charge of domestic violence that was filed Wednesday.

Evans, 1137 Broadway Ave., was arrested just before 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Broadway Avenue home on the misdemeanor charge, the report states.

According to the report, police encountered a man who was highly intoxicated, screaming and belligerent, and his moods swung from crying to laughing hysterically.

The woman told police while the two were in a car together, the man repeatedly punched the dashboard, pushed her head and at one point hit her in the face with pizza, the report states. When they arrived at the Broadway Avenue home, the man tried to fight a neighbor, threw tires into the road and smashed the mailbox, the report states.

Inside the house, he flipped the couch, and continued to scream and throw things, the report states.

The man’s mood swings and aggressive behavior continued after being taken to the police station. He was told multiple times to stop boxing the wall, the report states.

Evans is being held in the Trumbull County jail.
