WHAT: Township trustee meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Steve Gerberry, Gil Blair and Marvin McBride

Trustees:

• Approved Township Administrator David Rouan to submit an application to the Ohio Public Works Commission state capital improvement program for a township wide road improvement project of $108,521. Work is scheduled to be completed next fall. The township's local share is $33,642;

• Approved fire Chief Randy Pugh entering into a contract for grant writing services with Grant Sources Professionals LLC of Canfield to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency Assistance to Firefighters grant for self-contained breathing apparatus. The total grant request has not been determined;

• Entered into a one-year agreement with the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber at $25,000 for economic development, marketing and government services and to help with business retention, attraction and expansion;

• Reappointed Joe Carl to a five-year term on the zoning commission and Jamie Bailey to a five-year term on the zoning appeals board;

• Set uniform allowance of $200 for part-time police officers;

• Accepted resignation of part-time police officer Craig Callow, effective Dec. 31;

• Joined the Trumbull Council of Governments with first-year membership of $200;

• Reported trustees have secured an electric aggregation rate of .0539 kilowatt hours beginning the first customer meter read in December 2017 and ending December 2020 with Dynegy Energy Services as the provider;

• Set an organizational meeting 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9;

• Set meetings for 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month and caucus 8 a.m. the Thursday two weeks prior to meeting.
