WARREN — A Warren man faces charges in Niles Municipal Court after being arrested on a warrant following a robbery shortly after midnight Friday at the Best Western Park Hotel, 136 N. Park Ave.

Tara Hidasy, 25, and Scott Greene, 24, were changing shifts at the hotel when a white man and a black man came inside. The white man pointed a black handgun at Greene while jumping over the counter, then pushed Hidasy toward Greene and demanded money, according to a Warren police report.

Hidasy handed the black man $200 before the robbers ran out of the hotel, the police report states.

Police found a broken black BB handgun in the parking lot near the hotel that looked like it was dropped, so the pieces were collected and taken as evidence.

When checking the area, police found Daniel Blevins, 31, of Warren, who matched the description of one of the robbers. He was found to have an arrest warrant out of Niles and was taken to jail on the warrant, which charges him with drug abuse, court records show.
