FRIENDS DAY: Hoyt Street Flourishing Ministries Church of God in Christ, 789 Hoyt St., Warren, will be celebrating the annual Family and Friends Day 4 p.m. Sunday. HELPING PROGRAM: F.A.I.T.H., a support group for Families of Addicts Inspired Through Faith, meets 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday at Fowler United Methodist Church, at the corner of state Routes 193 and 305. The faith-based, 12-step program offers support for families with members battling an addictive lifestyle. This is a new ministry at the church.
DIALOGUE SESSION: Jewish-Christian Studies will hold a dialogue 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Temple El Emeth, 3970 Logan Way, Liberty. Speaker is the Rev. Nicholas Mager, a retired Presbyterian pastor of Youngstown who will discuss ''According to Protestant Traditions.''
CLUB MEETS: Churchill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill Hubbard Road, Liberty, will offer the King's Kids Club 4:45 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The free program is for ages preschool to fifth grade. Children learn about Jesus and take part in music, Bible class, dinner, a craft and games.

PARISH HOLDS FUNDRAISER: Blessed Sacrament Parish, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will host its 15th annual Pasta Cook-Off & Wine Tasting 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the parish's Covelli Gymnasium. Local restaurants / professional chefs feature their outstanding pasta dishes, and local amateur chefs also compete with their dishes. Celebrity judges assist in determining who gets the gold; attendees assist in determining the People's Choice.

DIVORCE SURVIVAL GUIDE: The Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Life of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown in cooperation with St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman, and St. Paul Parish, North Canton, is offering Part I of "The Catholic's Divorce Survival Guide." All divorced and separated Catholics are welcome to attend.
The series will be offered 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays Feb. 6 and 20 and March 6 and 20 at St. Charles Parish, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. On Wednesdays, the series will be offered 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 8, 15 and 22 and March 1 at St. Paul Parish, 241 S. Main St.

SPIRITUAL LIVING SERIES: The Ursuline Center is hosting the spirituality series Pathways to Spiritual Living 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8, March 8 and April 5 at 4280 Shields Road, Canfield.
Presenter Eileen W. Novotny will explore the long-lost tradition of human spirituality and reconsider its primary significance in the human search for meaning and purpose in life. She'll examine Celtic, Ignatian and Franciscan paths of prayer. Participants also can suggest paths of spiritual living for reflection.
On Feb. 8, the groups will consider "What Is Spirituality Today?," establishing a clear definition in its broadest sense before examining more specifically the great variety of ways people are seeking meaning in life, desiring to satisfy their spiritual hunger, or searching for the transcendent -- an awareness of the sacred.
SHINE PROM: Highway Tabernacle will host ''Night to Shine'' Prom for people with special needs sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation on Feb. 10.
Highway Tabernacle is serving as one of more than 350 churches around the world that will host Night to Shine centered on God's love for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.
The Tim Tebow Foundation is providing financial support to hundreds of churches needing assistance in hosting the event.

TUB'SHEVAT SEDER AT TEMPLE: Temple El Emeth, 3970 Logan Way, Liberty, will hold Tu B' Shevat Seder 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The event will include Minyan 5:45 p.m., seder and dinner 6 p.m. with children's Tu B'Shevat arts and crafts after dinner. Reservations needed by Feb. 7.
WHITE MASS: Bishop George Murry will be the principle celebrant and homilist for the 21st annual White Mass 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12 at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W. Wood St., Youngstown. The White Mass is for all health professionals, including mental health workers, to recognize and celebrate the ministry of all those in the healing professions.
A reception will follow in St. Columba Hall. The annual White Mass is sponsored by the Lourdes Guild, an association of Catholic physicians and dentists of the Diocese of Youngstown which assist the diocesan church in upholding and communicating Catholic medical ethics to the health professions and throughout the wider culture. On Feb. 13, Bishop George Murry will speak on "The Vital Role of the Family in Church and Society." Murry participated in the Ordinary Synod on the Family in Rome in 2015 that contributed to Pope Francis's Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia(On the Joy of Love).
On Feb. 27, a panel of local experts will address "Bullying: What Can Be Done About It?" Panelists include Detective Sergeant Delphine Baldwin-Casey, Victim Assistance Coordinator for the Safe Environment Program; Donna Mertes, Counselor at St. Michael School, Canton; Nickie Ostick, Community Educator and Outreach Specialist at Christina House.

NOMINATIONS SOUGHT: Nominations are being sought for the 19th annual Eagle of the Cross awards. Nominations must be postmarked by Feb. 15. The nomination form available at: http://youngstownoyyam.weebly.com/eagle-of-cross-awards.html.
The Eagle of the Cross award was originally created by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry and is the highest honor the Diocese of Youngstown presents to youth who show particular zeal for the improvement of their parish youth ministry program, high school ministry teams or other ministries within the diocese.
The nominees must be practicing Roman Catholics and exemplify the qualities of moral integrity, prayerful/spiritual life, personal outreach to church and community, contribution to parish and/or school programs, and Christian leadership.
The Eagle of the Cross Awards Liturgy and banquet will be held May 2 in Youngstown. The Liturgy is open to the public with the banquet by invitation only. MEN'S MINI-RALLIES: As organizers of the eighth annual Men's Rally in the Valley is being planned for April 29 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, mini rallies are being held at local churches leading up to the event. NJF MINISTERIAL TRAINING: New Jerusalem Fellowship, 2555 Palmyra Road SW, Warren will hold ministerial training and development 10 a.m. to noon the third Saturday of each month. The training is to instruct young ministers and pastors in the rudimentary foundational principles of ministry (Ethics and Etiquette) to improve communal serve. Presenting the purpose and how to of ministry.
Topics include ''The Qualification of a Leader,'' ''Spiritual Authority and Accountability,'' wedding and funeral protocol, sermon preparation and ''Closing the Back Door of Ministry.''

CONFERENCE PLANNED: The fifth annual Diocese of Youngstown Catholic Men's Fellowship conference will be March 4 at St. Thomas Aquianas High School, 2121 Reno Drive NE, Louisville. The conference begins at 9 a.m., with closing Mass at 4 p.m. The theme will once again be "Rise Up O' Men of God -- Walk in Love and Mercy."
Celebrant is Bishop George Murry. Keynote speakers are Jon Leonetti, a nationally known Catholic speaker, best selling author and radio host, and Dr. Philip Mango, a licensed Catholic therapist who provides seminars.
Tickets during a special pre-registration period will be $35 each and $10 for students ages 13 to 21. Deadline for this price will be Feb. 22.
