WARREN – A fatal two-car accident at 5:33 p.m. Monday on state Route 528 near Shed Road in Parkman Township, led to the deaths of three Warren residents.
James E. Gray, 72, and his daughter, Chloe Trupa, 9, were traveling north in his 2018 Honda Civic when his vehicle went left of center, striking a vehicle operated by Anthony OáMalley, 48, who was driving south in his 2008 Pontiac G6, according to a Ohio State Highway Patrol report of the accident..
Both Gray and Trupa were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. Neither were wearing safety belts.
OáMalley was taken to University Hospital Geauga Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He was wearing his safety belt at the time of the accident.
A preliminary report said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
Parkman Fire assisted in clearing the accident. Chardon OSP is investigating the crash.
