NO SCHOOL DAY EVENT: The Lordstown Library Branch will hold a "No School" Sweet Treats Edition 2:30 p.m. Friday for children in grades seventh to 12th. With there being no school Friday, children can come to the library with friends for games, crafts and snacks. Registration is required and needed today.
ZONING SEMINAR: A township zoning seminar will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Southington Township Hall, 3419 state Route 534. The event will feature attorney Mark Finamore and is being offered to township trustees and zoning officials. Topics to be covered include township zoning commission, zoning amendments, variances and conditional uses, non-conforming uses and zoning inspector enforcement. BITES OF HOLIDAY: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society Bites and Bits of History will be Feb. 21 at the Tyler History Center in Youngstown. The program will be on President William McKinley and presented by Amber Ferris, director at the McKinley Memorial Museum, who will discuss McKinley through the ages. Ferris will discuss facts about McKinley's life that are less well known.
READING AND ART: Reading and Other Forms of Art will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Institute of American Art's Trumbull Branch, 9350 East Market St., Howland. The Warren Trumbull County Public Library and the Butler will offer a blend of art and books at the interactive Family Days program. A children's librarian will present stories, and an art educator from the Butler will present a companion craft. For ages 5 – 10 with accompanying adult.
