NEWTON FALLS — Laurie Ann Nursing Home has been acquired by a housing, health care and property management company based in Sharon Center.

Holland Management, a family-owned, multi-faceted organization, includes senior apartments, assisted living, rehabilitative therapy, skilled nursing, home health care and a country club, according to a news release from the company. The organization said its main focus is to enhance the lives of its residents and employees.

Last week, Holland Management and Country Club at Newton Falls held its first holiday open house to re-introduce the facility to the community.

“Our event was a huge success,” stated Selina Pratt, Holland’s marketing director. “It was a great way for Holland Management to introduce itself and their plans for our building to Mayor (Lyle) Waddell, his fellow councilmen and our community.”

In 2018, Holland Management plans to make several changes to Laurie Ann, including the purchase of a new bus for resident transportation; updating of the interior corridors and resident rooms; and the introduction of Holland’s restaurant-style dining program in which resident meals are made to order.

Holland and its Country Club Retirement Campuses have provided living and health care services to retired individuals more than 40 years, according to its website.
