Organist Mark Pacoe performs Sunday at Stambaugh Auditorium.
Pacoe has performed as a soloist and accompanist both domestically and abroad. He made his European debut at St. Paul's Cathedral (London) and St. Mary's Cathedral (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) after becoming recognized at the Oundle International Young Organists' Academy in Great Britain.
Other recitals include the Terra Sancta Organ Festival in the Holy Land (Israel and Palestine), International Organ Festival in Arona (Italy) and Sydney Opera House as well as many other venues across the United States.
Pacoe has degrees from both Duquesne University and East Carolina University and did post-graduate studies at the Eastman School of Music. He is a member of both the American Guild of Organists and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, also is on the artist roster of the EastWest Organists.
He currently serves as the director of music for St. John Nepomucene and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in Manhattan. His debut album, "Crossroads -- Music from St. Malachy's -- The Actors' Chapel, Time Square, New York," was released in 2015.
Pacoe will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday on the E.M. Skinner organ at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens and are available at the Stambaugh box office, online at www.stambaughauditorium.com and by calling 330-259-0555.
