Junior Women’s League, Heritage Center hosts gala

KINSMAN HOUSE EVENT: The eighth annual gala at the Kinsman House will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the historic house, 303 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. The Warren Heritage Center and the GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women’s League are hosting the event. The event will include wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, basket raffle, and entertainment. BRAS FOR A CAUSE: The Trumbull Regional Medical Center Pink Ribbon Run / Walk Committee invites the community to participate in a fun event that addresses a serious issue: breast cancer. Participants are invited to decorate a bra in their own unique style with their own theme or slogan that emphasizes Breast Cancer Awareness.
The decorated bras will be on display at Trumbull Regional Medical Center Sept. 23 through Oct. 31 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 28 at the TRMC Pink Ribbon Run / Walk.

BLOCKWATCH TO MEET: Girard Fourth Ward blockwatch will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Girard Multigenerational Center, Trumbull Avenue.
SOCIETY TO MEET: The Howland Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at Shepherd of the Valley. North River Road. Guest speaker is Brenda Linert, editor at the Tribune Chronicle, who will discuss “The History of the Tribune Chronicle.”
LEAGUE SPONSORS EVENT: The League of Women Voters Trumbull County is sponsoring a Trumbull New Theater production “Fox on the Fairway” as a fundraiser to help defray costs for printing the Voter Information Guide, which will be published in October. The fundraiser is set for Thursday at TNT Theater in Niles with doors opening at 6 p.m. There will be prizes and 50-50 raffle. The play begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15.
