Zallow 3rd at Millrose Games

NEW YORK CITY — Chad Zallow had the lead for the first half of Saturday’s Fred Schmertz 60m hurdles at the 112th Millrose Games.

Then, 2016 Rio Olympian edged out former Syracuse athlete Freddie Crittenden by .003 seconds to take the title on Saturday.

Zallow stayed ahead of the rest of the field to finish third, a place better than last season in a time of 7.69 seconds — the second fastest he’s had all season.

Allen posted a time of 7.606 seconds, while Crittenden had 7.609.

Zallow finished ahead of Josh Thompson, Trey Holloway, Johnathan Cabral, Ryan Fontenot, Ryan Billian and Kirk Lewis. Cabral also competed in the 2016 Rio Games.
